Program Objectives
The purpose of this program is to train qualified personnel that ensures the delivery of glass lenses, contact lenses, optical devices and glass frames as prescribed by the expert physician to the patient; assembles, repairs and detects appropriate glasses
according to standards and prepares them to be used by the patients; keeps, saves and delivers when necessary the optical device user records to relevant institutions.
Vertical Transfer Opportunities
Graduates of this program can externally transfer to the following undergraduate departments:
- Emergency Response and Disaster Management,
- Physics,
- Physics Engineering,
- Optical and Acoustic Engineering and Health Management.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this program can open their own optics stores as “Opticians”. They can work as acting managers or opticians at optics stores of personal or legal entities. They can work as ophthalmology policlinics of hospitals. Additionally,
they can work at firms or factories that manufacture or import glasses and frames.
