The mission of the School of Advanced Vocational Studies is to provide accessible, student-centered academic and personal enrichment opportunities to enhance lifelong learning through ECTS system with our vocational programs. The School of Advanced Vocational Studies mission is about student learning and how we can improve it.

School of Advanced Vocational Studies and staff will provide a well-rounded curriculum and a positive learning environment that enables students to develop their potential and become competent, productive citizens in our society.

The faculty at School of Advanced Vocational Studies will provide to all students a learning environment that will allow all students the opportunity to achieve their personal best. We believe our purpose is to promote cooperation, foster a good self-concept, and encourage lifelong learning in an ever-changing world.

Our lecturers hold MSc or PhD degrees from national or foreign universities and some of them are PhD candidates. Our faculty members are reinforced by lecturers who come from industry and they can transfer current business experiences to our students.

The course curriculum is updated often that we can offer contemporary courses to our students. Every course is specially design for the needs of the business environment. Current computer programmes, theoretical knowledge and latest regulations in different business groups are thought.

A. Yasemin Şengül and A. Yekta Kayman, faculty members of Doğuş University presented their article called “Data Mining Applications in Healthcare: a brief review of last decade” at HCist 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal between the 21-23 November. During the conference 7 session took place in 3 days.The purpose of the conference is to bring together academicians and researchers working on health informatics and health information technologies, to share their studies and experience and to discuss current developments in the area.The studies presented at the conference were published in the conference booklet with the ISBN number.
